Advice for making a career change

I think we are taught that we need to pick a career, stick with it, probably lose our passion for it and then at some point retire and move on. That never has sat well with me. I want to be fulfilled by what I do. I want to be excited to go to work. What I Have Learned This Year (a reflection on life since quarantine)

I looked back in my calendar to this time last year. March 17, 2020 was the day I closed up shop at the clinic and started what we thought was going to be a few weeks in quarantine. I remember emailing my patients, assuring them I would see them again in person in a short while and encouraging them to book virtual appointments should they need any support as we navigate this new way of living. You can love something fiercely and not fully understand it. You can be book smart and not street smart. You can be into science and have a creative edge. You can have a wild heart and still be afraid to take the first step.

Being me

It's 3 pm, and I have done nothing today except indulge in reality TV, eat all sorts of yummy foods and cuddle the pup. And there is no place I would rather be. In fact, I have been dreaming about this moment for months. All that matters is what my heart desires. And this is everything that it desires right now.
